Moskowitz of EVO: Excited about firm's global platform through NAI

Name: Dana Moskowitz Title: President Company Name: EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global Follow my company on Twitter @evoREgroup What year did you start your career in commercial real estate: 2003 Real Estate Associations/Organizations: YM/WREA, REBNY, Israel Bonds What recent project or transaction are you most proud of? In November, EVO became the New York City member of NAI Global, the largest network of independently owned commercial real estate firms in the world. I was intimately involved in securing our place in the network, and over the last few months I have been working hard to integrate our firm into the network and utilize the strength of the NAI brand. I have met with many members from all over the country, and have recently arranged meetings with some of our international members as well. There are many great synergies amongst the members and a lot of business opportunities. I am very excited about EVO's global platform through NAI and what is to come. What is the best advice you have received and who was it from? The very first piece of advice I was given when I started my career in commercial brokerage was to have a thick skin and a strong stomach. This a business of highs and lows, and being a woman in a male-dominated business can add to the emotional aspect. However, reminding myself to have a thick skin has helped me overcome challenges I have faced. What is your favorite quote? Recently I have found myself saying "It is what it is." Sometimes you have to accept that you do not have control over every situation, work with what you've got and move on to the next. It is the best way to take some of the stress out of life.
