Moinian Group, Rockwell Group, and Hill West Architects begin construction of 170,000 s/f residential development

Manhattan, NY The Moinian Group has commenced vertical construction at 7 Platt St., a 35-story, 250-unit luxury residential development located in the Financial District. The project’s design is being lead by Rockwell Group and the architecture efforts are being led by Hill West Architects.

“Situated in New York City’s most historic and financially revered region, we’re thrilled to be celebrating this vertical construction milestone at 7 Platt, one of the last of its kind developments in Manhattan to be carried out under the 421-a program,” said Matthew Moinian, principal of The Moinian Group. “We look forward to the continued advancement of this project as we bring this best-in-class residential offering to final completion and welcome residents to their new home at the property.”

Upon completion, the 170,000 s/f, 35-story glass tower will deliver 250 luxury residences to the FiDi community, a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units, as well as penthouse residences with an accompanying penthouse lounge area. Shared indoor resident amenity spaces include a fitness center inclusive of a rock-climbing wall, a library, work and study pods, lounge spaces, a TV screening wall that opens onto the coinciding outdoor deck, private dining spaces with outdoor terrace access, a gaming and virtual reality area, laundry facilities and a communal kitchen for entertaining.

Outdoor amenity spaces include a rooftop sundeck and garden lounge, a movie lounge area with accompanying seating, barbeques, dining areas, outdoor fitness equipment and a golf putting space and outdoor coworking space.

7 Platt St. benefits from its proximity to transportation offerings including the Fulton St. subway station, providing residents access to nearly all New York City subway lines that service all five boroughs. Additionally, residents benefit from quick access to multiple NYC Ferry routes, a variety of outdoor green spaces and parks, food and beverage and cultural offerings across the neighborhood.

Final project completion is slated for Q4 of 2025.
