Mills named president and CEO of Electra USA

New York, NY According to Electra USA, Christopher Mills has been named president and CEO. Mills will be responsible for general management of the Electra USA organization throughout the United States as well as overseeing the business and activities of the company’s three New York-based subsidiaries including Gilston Electrical Contracting LLC (Gilston), Hellman Electric LLC (Hellman) and F.W. Sims LLC (F.W. Sims). Mills is based out of the Electra USA New York office.

His over 30 year track record in the construction industry managing complex and large projects will prove to be an invaluable asset as we grow the Electra USA organization in the United States and continue to support our subsidiary firms who are building some of the region’s largest construction projects.”

Prior to joining Electra USA, Mills served as COO and president at Plaza Construction. For over three decades, Mills managed the construction of notable projects and was responsible for the implementation of processes and management systems used by Plaza throughout the organization.

As an industry innovator, he applied his technical experience to manage large, complex and significant projects, including 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City, NJ and the award-winning Fulton Center in New York City. Christopher has been involved in managing more than 20 million square-feet of construction throughout the country with projects spanning interiors, core & shell and infrastructure.

An engineering graduate from Villanova University, Mills maintains his relationship with Villanova by mentoring engineering students. He is a board member of Non-Traditional Employment for Women, ACE Mentoring and also is a founding member of the Real Estate Institute Executive Advisory Council at Fordham University.
