Matzura becomes principal of Energy Squared

According to Energy Squared, Michael Matzura, LEED AP joined as a principal of the growing energy design consulting firm. In this role, Matzurawill support the team in providing sophisticated, energy-cost-reducing and sustainable engineering solutions. A United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leader in Environmental and Energy Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and Department of Energy Certified Industrial Assessment Center auditor, Matzura earned both a bachelor and a masters of Science degree in engineering from Syracuse University. Specializing in central heating/cooling applications, low temperature radiant heating/cooling systems and controls, he worked with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on their New Construction and Commercial Industrial Performance Programs and has performed well over 60 energy audits for a wide range of facilities. "I look forward to helping property owners and managers retrofit their buildings with new heating and cooling systems," said Michael, "which will save thousands of dollars in energy that is currently being wasted." Energy Squared, LLC is a full service energy design consultant firm that offers mechanical, electrical and plumbing designs/specifications, building performance modeling, energy simulations and feasibility studies for sustainable energy systems.
