Lee & Associates NYC assists CHUBBY GROUP secure 5,200 s/f

Manhattan, NY Lee & Associates NYC has negotiated three new leases totaling 10,000 s/f and hired Daniel Lisser as a senior managing director.

Lee & Associates NYC represented food and beverage company, CHUBBY GROUP, in bringing its newest concept CHUBBY BOWLS to New York. CHUBBY BOWLS will occupy 3,900 s/f of ground-level and 1,300 s/f of lower-level space in a new 15-year lease at 809 Broadway, a newly constructed class A mixed-use building in Greenwich Village. CHUBBY BOWLS, featuring automated cooking machines that serve fresh wagyu beef, expands CHUBBY GROUP’s offerings and portfolio, which already spans 60 locations nationally.

Catherine O’Toole, Stephanie Moore, David Scher and Jordan Cohen from Lee & Associates NYC represented both the tenant, CHUBBY GROUP, and the landlord, 809 Broadway Holdings LLC.

In Queens, Lee & Associates NYC has facilitated a 12-year lease that will bring a new dentist office to Gotham Point, a 1,132-unit residential development in the Hunter’s Point South waterfront neighborhood of Long Island City. The office will occupy a 2,500 s/f ground-level space at the base of the project’s South Tower, located at 56-03 Center Blvd.

Brad Schwarz from Lee & Associates NYC represented the landlord, Gotham Organization. The tenant, Hassan Khan, was represented by Reed Wrisley of Practice Real Estate Group.

“The dentist office at 56-03 Center Blvd. will be newly constructed, giving Hassan the opportunity to fully customize his practice,” said Schwarz, principal at Lee & Associates NYC.

Lee & Associates NYC assisted Essilor Luxottica, a global leader in the optical industry, in securing the new global flagship for Ray-Ban at 62 Prince St. in SoHo. Previously home to SoHo Park, Ray-Ban will now occupy the prime retail corner in a new 2,300 s/f, 10-year lease.

Mark Kapnick from Lee & Associates NYC represented the landlord. The tenant, Essilor Luxottica, was represented by Joanne Podell from Cushman & Wakefield.

“62 Prince St. is situated on one of the most iconic retail corners in all of SoHo. This is a high foot traffic area and a popular destination for both the New York fashion scene and tourists alike, making it a perfect location for Ray-Ban to plant their flag,” said Kapnick, executive vice president and principal at Lee & Associates NYC.

Daniel Lisser

Daniel Lisser joined Lee & Associates NYC’s Capital Advisory group as a senior managing director. Lisser will continue to concentrate on delivering optimal debt and equity solutions for the many real estate owners and developers that he has represented in the retail, multi-family, office, and hospitality sectors in New York and nationally. Additionally, Lisser will collaborate closely with the Lee & Associates NYC investment sales team. 

Lisser has extensive experience in originating, underwriting, and structuring 1st mortgage and other debt investments with an emphasis on loan origination and closing, underwriting, and workouts.  Lisser has cultivated an extensive network of public and private lenders, brokers, developers, and equity investors. Lisser is a well-known and highly regarded capital markets professional who is known for utilizing his vast expertise in managing the full lifecycle of loan and equity originations.

Lisser has nearly three decades of experience in the capital markets sector. Prior to Lee & Associates NYC, he held roles with Marcus & Millichap, Ackman Ziff, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, and Johnson Capital, where he opened the firm’s east coast office.

Lisser earned a bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and Investment from New York University, Real Estate Institute. He is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC), MBA and ICSC. 

In September 2024, Lee & Associates NYC established the Capital Advisory group with the hiring of Dave Carswell and Ryan Fitzpatrick who will be working closely with Lisser to deliver optimal debt and equity solutions as part of the firm’s wide range of in-house services.
