Ogletree Deakins relocates to 18,000 s/f at Tishman Speyer’s 1270 Avenue of the Americas

Manhattan, NY According to Tishman Speyer, multinational law firm Ogletree Deakins will relocate and expand its current New York office to 18,000 s/f on the 24th floor of 1270 Avenue of the Americas at Rockefeller Center.

In leasing the new space, Ogletree Deakins was represented by Michael Berg, Sofia Bruno, Elizabeth Cooper and Brendan Dwyer of JLL. Tishman Speyer was represented in-house by Blythe Kinsler and Kate Walker.

1270 Avenue of the Americas at Rockefeller Center is a 31-story office building in Manhattan located between 50th and 51st St. Completed in 1932, the art deco limestone edifice features the first work of art ever commissioned for Rockefeller Center, Robert Garrison’s “Morning, Evening, Present,” on its exterior façade. Radio City Music Hall is located on the ground floor of the building, and Radio Park, a green space exclusively for office customers and their guests, occupies 24,000 s/f on the roof. Tishman Speyer completed a new rooftop skybridge allowing direct access to Radio Park for office customers at 1270 Avenue of the Americas.

Founded in 1977, Ogletree Deakins is one of the largest law firms in the world by revenue, specializing in labor and employment law, and the second-largest labor and employment firm in the U.S. with more than 1,100 attorneys operating across 60 offices in 32 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Ogletree Deakins’ office at 1270 Avenue of the Americas will be home to 20 attorneys and 10 business professionals, with room to add talent to service the growing client demand.

Ogletree Deakins’ team will have full access to Tishman Speyer’s global amenity program, ZO, which offers global access to high end lounge and work spaces, wellness services, and experiences at Tishman Speyer properties around the world. At Rockefeller Center, ZO amenities include exclusive pricing on attractions such as The Rink, The Beam, and Skylift; and perks at retailers such as J. Crew and Rough Trade, as well as dining options including Smith & Mills and Daily Provisions. Customers also enjoy access to the ZO Clubhouse on the 33rd floor of 1 Rockefeller Plaza as well as Radio Park, which has become a favorite destination to relax, collaborate, or socialize.

“Ogletree Deakins looks forward to relocating our New York office to 1270 Avenue of the Americas at Rockefeller Center,” said Patrick Collins, Ogletree Deakins’ New York office managing shareholder. “This prime location, situated in one of New York City’s most iconic buildings, offers modern amenities and provides convenient access to midtown Manhattan’s top-tier restaurants and shopping. It is also in close proximity to the headquarters of many major corporations and numerous regional clients. Our new, expanded space is thoughtfully designed to foster innovation, flexibility, and collaboration among our attorneys and business professionals.”

“We are delighted Ogletree Deakins has chosen Rockefeller Center as their New York headquarters. They will join the ranks of prestigious law firms who have recently put down or expanded their roots here, drawn by the deep sense of New York City soul and best-in-class amenities across campus,” said EB Kelly, senior managing director at Tishman Speyer and Head of Rockefeller Center. “The energy of New York and the elegance of Rock Center converge at 1270 Avenue of the Americas, and we look forward to welcoming the Ogletree team as they discover all the Center has to offer.”

Rockefeller Center is a global icon, built nearly a century ago as a “city within the city.” Today, under the stewardship of owner and operator Tishman Speyer, its collection of art deco buildings surrounding the plaza and rink together comprise one of the city’s most dynamic destinations to work, play, dine, and shop.

Ogletree Deakins is the latest in a series of law firms who committed to the center. Since 2023, 11 law firms have executed on new commitments or expansions at the center, totaling 354,000 s/f between these firms.
