Kunikoff and Kave of Lee NYC handle 12,000 s/f lease for Howl at the Moon

Robert Kunikoff, executive managing director/principal, and Richard Kave, managing director of Lee & Associates NYC LLC (Lee NY) along with Victor Menkin, president of Menkin Realty Services, Inc. have arranged a long-term lease for Howl at the Moon at 240 West 52nd St., located between Broadway and Eighth Ave. Famous for its live music shows featuring dueling pianos, the club takes immediate occupancy at the 12,000 s/f space formerly occupied by Lucky Cheng's. Howl at the Moon operates clubs in 16 cities from coast to coast. Neighboring businesses include Victor's Café, Gallaghers Steakhouse, and the Neil Simon and August Wilson Theaters. Visible from Broadway, the five-story building was formerly home to legendary Max's Kansas City. "We've been showing space to Howl at the Moon for more than two years, and are very excited to have found the perfect site for its much-anticipated Manhattan debut," said Kunikoff. "Howl at the Moon is equally excited to move into this high-traffic, high-energyTimes Square location." Menkin said, "This property is ideally suited for the tenant's use. The space was formerly occupied by Lucky Cheng's and is directly across the street from the redevelopment of the former Roseland parcel, which will further enhance the already well-established strength of this location. We are pleased to provide a perfect setting to welcome Howl at the Moon to Manhattan." "The permitting and occupancy requirements for a live music venue added extra challenges to this assignment," adds Mr. Kave. "The team at Howl at the Moon was a pleasure to work with through it all, and we're very pleased to have found this location." Mr. Menkin exclusively represented the building's owner. Howl at the Moon is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015.
