Jeffrey Klarfeld, CPM, president of the Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management & IREM industry partner Richard Silver, president of American Pipe & Tank Lining Co., Inc. met with Swiss businessmen at the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York in December. Because IREM is the world's leading professional organization for asset & property managers, Switzerland Trade & Investment Promotion requested a meeting between Pierre Descloux of Dipan & IREM members. The purpose was to discuss the role of IREM in New York City and to explore how the Dipan's patented technologies may fit into the U.S. marketplace. Founded in 1972, Dipan is headquartered in Nyon with offices in Geneva, Zürich, Lausanne and Sion. Dipan specializes in metallographic, chemical and bacterial analysis of all types of hydraulic networks. They offer diagnostic services for metal pipes to measure corrosion and water purity and provide their customers with analysis, diagnosis and repair of hot and cold water pipes, cooling, heating and sprinkler systems. "It is always interesting to meet with real estate professionals from other countries. We explored our differences and most importantly, learned that we have many similarities and shared interests and concerns. Richard Silver generously shared his expertise & experiences in the industry, which proved to be invaluable for Dipan."
