Summer Restaurant Week debuts new openings and exceptional dining in the 42BELOW neighborhood

Manhattan, NY Summer Restaurant Week has concluded on August 16th, with more than 600 participating restaurants offering prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus. While exceptional dining can be found throughout the city, 42BELOW offers one of the city’s most diverse collections of dining experiences, replete with Michelin-starred chefs, and spanning refined steakhouses to K-town standouts, all within the same Midtown South neighborhood.

Stretching from 42nd St. into the low 30s between Eighth Ave.and Bryant Park, 42BELOW has emerged as one of Midtown’s fastest-growing culinary destinations. This summer’s NYC Restaurant Week arrived at an exciting moment, with recent openings like Olio e Più Bryant Park and Shaver Hall adding fresh energy to the neighborhood’s evolving dining scene. These ten participating restaurants highlight the diversity, quality, and momentum that have made 42BELOW one of New York City’s premier destinations for dining.

Ai Fiori

Inspired by the French and Italian Rivieras, Ai Fiori offers one of Midtown’s most refined dining experiences inside The Langham, New York. The Michelin-recognized restaurant is celebrated for its elegant pastas, beautifully prepared seafood, and impeccable service. 400 Fifth Ave. 

Atlantis Prime

Atlantis Prime opened in 2025, bringing a modern take on the classic steakhouse to Midtown South. Combining premium steaks, fresh seafood, and polished hospitality in an elegant setting, the restaurant has quickly become a standout. 38 W. 36th St.

Gaonnuri

Located on the 39th floor over Koreatown, Gaonnuri pairs sweeping skyline views with one of Midtown’s most refined Korean dining experiences. The restaurant has long been a favorite for entertaining clients and special occasions, offering elevated Korean barbecue and contemporary interpretations of traditional cuisine. 1250 Bdwy. 

HanGawi

A longtime cornerstone of Koreatown, HanGawi offers one of New York City’s most distinctive dining experiences. Guests remove their shoes before entering the dining room, where an entirely vegetarian menu showcases traditional Korean temple cuisine through seasonal vegetables and handmade dumplings. 12 E. 32nd St.

Harta

Located inside the Grayson Hotel, Harta brings a fresh take on the New American brasserie with Mediterranean influences, seasonal ingredients, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. 30 W. 39th St.

La Pecora Bianca – Bryant Park

Overlooking Bryant Park, La Pecora Bianca has become a neighborhood favorite for housemade pastas, seasonal Italian dishes, and a welcoming yet energetic atmosphere. The restaurant captures the spirit of Midtown South while offering a menu rooted in simple, high-quality ingredients. 20 W. 40th St.

Mari.ne Handroll

Mari.ne Handroll brings a fresh take on Korean-Japanese cuisine to the heart of 42BELOW. Created by Michelin-starred chef Sungchul Shim, the lively restaurant specializes in hand rolls, small plates, and creative cocktails. 135 W. 41st St.

The Parlour Room

The Parlour Room has established itself as one of Midtown’s most sophisticated gathering places, attracting an after-work crowd with carefully crafted cocktails and an inviting menu. The restaurant balances an energetic atmosphere with refined service, making it a must-stop before an evening in the Theater District or after a day exploring Midtown. 86 W. 36th St.

Togyushi

Part Japanese dining destination and part cocktail bar, Togyushi has become one of Midtown’s hidden gems. Dedicated entirely to wagyu, the restaurant’s prix-fixe experience showcases the prized beef in a variety of preparations. Staff say the Wagyu Sukiyaki and Wagyu Cutlet have been the most popular Restaurant Week selections, while the recently added udon course has quickly become a guest favorite. 12 W. 44th St.

Yoon Haeundae Galbi

Bringing the flavors of a renowned Busan institution dating back to 1964 to the heart of Koreatown, Yoon Haeundae Galbi has become a favorite for premium Korean barbecue and traditional hospitality. Guests grill high-quality cuts tableside while enjoying an elevated dining experience that blends Korean tradition with Midtown energy. 8 W. 36th St.
