Robin of Levien & Co. wins scholarship from AREW

Allison Robin, LEED AP, an associate project manager for Levien & Company, is a winner of this year's Merle Gross-Ginsberg Scholarship Award, which is granted by the Association of Women in Real Estate (AREW) in support of students in the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate master's program. Robin, one of three winners this year, will apply the $4,000 grant toward the completion of her master's degree in construction management this spring. She joined Levien, a project management/owner's representation firm, last summer. In 2009, Robin won scholarships from New York Women Executives in Real Estate and the Schack Institute Alumni Association. She is a graduate of Cornell University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in city and regional planning. "We're very proud of what Allison has achieved academically, and equally delighted with her contribution to the firm," said Kenneth Levien, AIA, the firm's founder and president. "I see a most promising future for her in this field." The Merle Gross-Ginsberg Award, named in honor of AREW's first president, focuses on women with financial need who demonstrate academic excellence and seek careers in real estate sectors in which women are under-represented in executive positions.
