John Fotiadis Architect PLLC launched

Veteran architect John Fotiadis has launched an eponymous firm offering top-quality design and planning for owners and developers around the world. John Fotiadis Architect PLLC has already secured several major projects - including an 800,000 s/f office building in Kiev, a 120,000 s/f luxury residential building in Donetsk, Ukraine and a showroom/conference space in New York City for cosmetics manufacturer MANA Products. John Fotiadis Architect PLLC is a full service shop offering master planning, urban design, 3D rendering and model production, architectural animation, and interior design. Fotiadis has assembled a roster of top architectural talent with experience in residential, commercial and retail projects as well as mixed-use. The Fotiadis team has the ability to take a project from concept through to construction documents. Fotiadis was most recently the director of design for Costas Kondylis and Partners LLP in New York. During his tenure, he oversaw a group of 25 designers and supervised projects in the U.S. as well as Europe and the Middle East. Among the projects was an 1.6 million s/f master plan for the Lusail waterfront development in Doha, Qatar, apartment layouts for Trump Towers Istanbul, and the prototype design for the Starwood Hotels extended stay brand "Element," as well as several residential projects in New York City. Prior to Costas Kondylis, Fotiadis had his own shop focused on residential and commercial projects in the New York metropolitan area. "We want to create architecture that is inspired, yet rational and clear in terms of its intent" said Fotiadis. "John Fotiadis Architect PLLC offers clients New York cache and sensibility without having to charge a premium." Fotiadis and his group of designers are also currently working on the design of showroom and conference space for the New York headquarters of MANA Cosmetics. The 5,600 s/f assignment was awarded to Fotiadis after the completion of MANA's lobby at The Ariana Building in Long Island City. "We have responded to the economic reality that the building and construction industry is facing. We operate a lean shop where overhead is reduced, but quality is maintained," said Fotiadis. He points out that his team works on laptops, communicates with Skype and keeps travel costs low. In addition to the cost benefits of a streamlined operation, John Fotiadis Architect acts like a commando team, responding to clients' needs around the globe and able to turn on a dime. "Despite the cost constraints owners and developers face, they still demand brilliant and elegant design. The architecture shops that prosper now will be able to deliver that at a cost-effective price," said Fotiadis. John Fotiadis Architect PLLC's international experience also includes large-scale master plans in Kazakhstan, South Korea and Qatar, as well as projects throughout North and Central America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Fotiadis or members of his team are fluent in English, Italian, Greek, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Turkish and Arabic. Fotiadis received his bachelor's degree in Architecture, cum laude, from Temple University. He also has a Masters of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University. He is a member of the AIA and a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey.
