Veteran real estate private equity investor Fred Scott has joined Advalurem Group as a principal of the firm and as a member of the investment committee. Scott's primary responsibility is to oversee acquisitions, investment structuring and transaction execution. Scott has 17 years of experience in the real estate industry including positions within private equity, investment banking and financial advisory. He has advised on $4 billion and invested in more than $500 million of real estate over his career.

Prior to joining Advalurem Group, Scott was a senior member of the acquisitions team at Strategic Capital Partners, a middle-market, value-added real estate fund with over $1 billion of assets under management. Prior to SCP, Mr. Scott was a Principal at Longwing Real Estate Ventures, a New York based real estate opportunity fund sponsored by Dubai Investment Group. As a private equity investor, he participated at a senior level in all aspects of the investment process and managed a portfolio in excess of $500 million in gross asset value. He held similar roles at Lazard Frères and Prudential Securities, advising clients on their real estate holdings. Mr. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University.
