Glen & Company designs 264-unit Four Points by Sheraton Financial District

As one of four hotels in downtown Manhattan currently being designed by Glen Coben of Glen & Company, Four Points by Sheraton Financial District at 6 Platt St. will be a select service hotel that still offers fine design and a host of amenities generally associated with luxury lodging. Among the extras being designed by Coben and his team are an onsite restaurant, a 28th floor rooftop lounge with terrace. The new hotel is the first downtown Manhattan unit of the value-driven brand owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. The design features an array of architectural elements in the entry, lobby and common areas that pay homage to the hotel's world renowned location off Wall Street, such as recycled safety deposit boxes and artwork composed of electronic LED readers. In addition to 264 guest rooms and suites, Four Points by Sheraton Financial District will feature a 2,000 s/f conference space able to accommodate small to mid-size meetings and social gatherings, as well as a 24-hour fitness center and business center. Coben said, "Working directly with John and Keith Lam and Hung Luk of the Lam Group helped us channel the core values of the Four Points by Sheraton brand, while tailoring the new design to provide an exceptional experience for business travelers and tourists embracing the 'Canyons of Wall Street' concept. In addition, the design of the hotel's dining and lounge facilities, as well as its central location, should also make it a destination for the people who work and live in the area."
