Colliers International has arranged the sale of a 23,000 s/f medical office property located at 59-25 Kissena Blvd. in Flushing, on behalf of EmblemHealth. The buyer was healthcare provider Gramercy Surgery Center, Inc. The sales price was not disclosed.
The Colliers International team of vice chairman Brian Given, managing director Steven Jaray and director Sheena Gohil represented EmblemHealth. William O'Brien and Karen Cohen of Brooklyn-based brokerage firm M.C. O'Brien partnered with Colliers International on this assignment.
In late 2010, EmblemHealth assigned the Colliers International/M.C. O'Brien team to market and sell the property.
Despite the turbulent economic climate, they successfully attracted multiple bids for the asset, and ultimately sold it above its original asking price, which was not disclosed.
"We are extremely pleased that despite challenging economic times, our team was still able to market and sell this property in an accelerated fashion," Given said.
Located near the Long Island Expressway in East Flushing, 59-25 Kissena Blvd. consists of two floors with 23,020 s/f of leasable space. The property also includes 23 parking spots and 140 ft, of street frontage along Kissena Blvd. Potential redevelopment opportunities exist on the site.
