Pier 1 Imports is coming to the Upper East Side, and RKF assisted in arranging the 17,514 s/f retail lease with the home furnishings and gifts store at 1110 Third Ave. Located on the northwest corner of 65th St. at the base of The Chatham, the Robert A. M. Stern-designed residential condominium. The retail space includes 4,638 s/f on the ground floor, 8,119 s/f on the lower level and 4,757 s/f on the second floor. This will be Pier 1 Imports' second location.
RKF chairman and CEO Robert Futterman, managing director Beth Rosen and director Jackie Totolo represented ownership of the retail condominium, The Related Cos. Jerry Welkis of Welco Realty, Inc. represented Pier 1 Imports.
The retail space includes 120 ft. of frontage on Third Ave. and 33 ft. of frontage on East 65th St. It is surrounded by many retailers including lululemon athletica, American Apparel and Lucky Brand.
