Manhattan, NY A vacant West Village townhouse at 496 Sixth Ave. that was purchased in December will not be empty for long: A Japanese restaurant and sushi lounge called Mi-Ne will soon occupy a 1,700 s/f space at the property, according to EVO Real Estate Group, a member of NAI Global. Robert Frischman, executive vice president of EVO, represented both the new townhouse owner and food retailer Dainobu, Mi-Ne’s owner. Frischman had also represented the new townhouse owner and the seller in the December purchase. “The West Village is known for the quality of its ethnic restaurants,” said Frischman.  “Mi-Ne is perfectly suited to the neighborhood.”  He notes that many other popular dining choices populate the area, including Bar Six, Horchata, Gene’s, Salam, Café Loup, Da Andrea, and French Roast, to name a few. The Sixth Ave. location will be Mi-Ne’s first in the U.S. Next door to the townhouse is a Japanese food market also owned by Dainobu. Other Mi-Ne restaurants are in Japan and Hong Kong. EVO Real Estate Group is a privately held, full-service commercial real estate firm with roots dating back to 1969 that serves the diverse real estate needs of a prestigious list of tenants, owners, corporations and growing businesses.  EVO is the New York City member of NAI Global, the single largest, most powerful global network of owner-operated commercial real estate brokerage firms.
