FECG joins forces with Eschbacher VHB

According to Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., Freudenthal & Elkowitz Consulting Group, Inc. (FECG) joined forces with its New York entity, Eschbacher VHB. FECG and Eschbacher VHB, which have been renamed VHB Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C., will do business in N.Y. as VHB. FECG is a 20-person environmental and planning firm that specializes in environmental analysis, State Environmental Quality Review compliance, site assessments, planning, and grant preparation. FECG brings environmental services to Eschbacher VHB's growing transportation and land development practice in N.Y. Combining the resources of the two well-respected firms will provide clients with a broader array of services and a more streamlined approach to projects. Now comprised of more than 60 professionals, VHB's N.Y. practice is the region's source for integrated transportation, land development, and environmental services. "The faces and names that our clients know and trust will not change at VHB, but together will offer clients expanded services," said Terri Elkowitz of VHB. VHB's New York team is already working together on some prominent projects in the area including the Lighthouse Development Group's Nassau Coliseum Redevelopment; Molloy College Campus Improvements; and on-call services for the Port Authority of N.Y./N.J. "Terri and I are both excited about the opportunity to begin offering our New York clients a wider range of integrated services," said Bob Eschbacher. "We see this merger as a way of formalizing an unofficial partnership that has been in place for over twenty years." VHB is affiliated with Watertown, Mass.-based Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., an 800-person firm that provides integrated transportation, land development and environmental services from 18 offices along the east coast. Engineering News-Record ranks VHB 84th of the Top 500 U.S. Design Firms and among the Top 50 Transportation Firms in the Nation.
