The Institute of Real Estate Management has named Gail Duke, CPM, to a two-year term as vice president of the IREM Foundation. Established in 1977, the IREM Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public foundation committed to attracting, developing, and retaining individuals for careers in real estate management.
Duke has 20-plus years of experience in the real estate industry and is 2nd Vice President of Corporate Leasing for New York Life Investment Management LLC, where she oversees a national portfolio with special attention to strategies and the tactical real estate decision-making process. Over the years, she has held several positions with IREM at the national level, including senior vice president, chair of the education delivery task force, chair of the diversity advisory board, and vice chair of the IREM Foundation's scholarship program. She also has served on IREM's executive committee. A member of IREM's Greater New York Chapter No. 26, she was chapter president in 1998 and was honored as its "CPM of the Year" in 1997. In addition to volunteer leadership positions with IREM, Duke has served as a chair of programs and as a director of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of New York. Additionally, since 1990, she has been a member of the organization's scholarship committee and seminar and meetings committee.
