Doughty joins J. Calnan & Associates as regional director of N.Y. and N.J.

New York, NY J. Calnan & Associates (JC&A), one of the leading construction management firms in the northeast, has hired Tai Doughty as regional director of New York and New Jersey to grow their market share in NYC and the surrounding areas.

“Tai is well regarded as a construction expert with extensive experience and a deep network of contacts in the New York and New Jersey markets,” said Jim Cahill, president of JC&A. “His background in commercial construction and architecture, combined with his knowledge of the local communities, will allow him to hit the ground running.”

Doughty  has proven success providing oversight across construction project lifecycles from pro forma analysis, proposals and bidding to negotiation, execution and evaluation. Doughty spent the last 10 plus years as a director managing all aspects of commercial construction projects from interior fit-out projects to ground up construction and has successfully completed countless projects in the tri-state area for Fortune 500 companies, developers, retailers and commercial real estate services companies.

He is passionate about developing teams, mentoring and building the organization with fairness, integrity and an eye for best practices.

He holds a Fine Arts of Interior Design in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Atlanta, a B Arch in Architecture from the Pratt Institute and is OSHA trained and certified. He is an active member of The ACE Mentor Program of New York and the National Organization of Minority Architects.
