What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2010? In 2010, I successfully negotiated and documented the work-out of over $650 million of constructions loans on a two-phase condominium project in which many condominium unit buyers had refused to close on sales and, as a result, forfeited their deposits. In addition to the loan work-out, the transaction involved re-negotiating certain rights of the four equity partners that comprise the borrower, in order to reflect a long-term strategy for owning a substantial number of units. How do you contribute to your company and/or the industry? At Stroock, I helped establish and currently co-chair the Women Transactional Attorneys affinity group. The group's purpose is to support women transactional attorneys in both the firm's corporate and real estate departments, and through this support, foster even greater diversity at Stroock. Some of the events that our group has hosted include a panel of senior women partners discussing how to survive and thrive in a downturn and a wine tasting featuring wines from women vintners. In the real estate industry, I am actively involved with the Association of Real Estate Women, including as a member of its sponsorship committee.
