De Luca joins Colliers as senior managing director

According to Colliers International, 30-year industry veteran James De Luca has joined the tri-state operations as a senior managing director. Most recently a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield, De Luca will continue his broad range of activities, which include tenant representation, landlord representation, sales brokerage, and consultation services. Among his many career highlights he has arranged significant transactions on behalf of ownership for properties such as 1177 Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, and for the RJR Nabisco headquarters in Atlanta, as well as many others in the New York metro region and throughout the United States. De Luca has also arranged significant leasing and consulting assignments for major firms both in the U.S. and abroad, including Air France, Alitalia (North and South America), Bank of Nova Scotia, Help USA, Mutual of Omaha, and Jim Henson Productions, Inc. In one of the largest transactions of his career, De Luca represented Theatre Row Phase II Associates in the sale of a full-block, 67,000 s/f site between Dyer and Tenth Aves., between 41st and 42nd Sts. The property was sold to the buyer as-of-right for the development of more than 1 million s/f of new product. "James is a creative, entrepreneurial broker who provides a full scope of real estate services, with a focus on corporate clients both in New York and other markets," said Joseph Harbert, president of Colliers International's eastern region. "He is a dynamic professional who will help us expand our market reach." A member of the Real Estate Board of New York, De Luca received a bachelor of arts from Bradford College with a major in Business Administration and Management, with a special emphasis on Economics, Accounting/Finance, and Marketing. Prior to joining Colliers, De Luca spent his entire real estate career with Cushman & Wakefield.
