Davidson named CRE of the Year by CoreNet NYC

According to Core-Net Global New York City chapter (CoreNet NYC), Michael Davidson, managing director and head of the Americas East and New York headquarters region real estate portfolio at JPMorgan Chase and Co., was announced as Corporate Real Estate Executive (CRE) of the Year at the CoreNet NYC Annual Meeting held on June 3 at 1 World Trade Center. Davidson was recently promoted to head of real estate for the Americas East Region at JP Morgan Chase and, with a broad team of real estate and technology professionals, is currently leading a multi-year strategic repositioning of the real estate, people and technology plan across the region. Davidson was awarded CRE of the Year in part due to his collaborative approach which consistently fosters the development and delivery of innovative real estate strategies in partnership with the C-Suite, Lines of Business and the spectrum of global corporate functions. Understanding the core business models and fundamentals of end-user requirements, developing thoughtfully integrated and progressive solutions and balancing the need for investment with cost optimization, are cornerstones for what Davidson strives to deliver with his team. Having been an active member of CoreNet NYC for several years, Davidson formerly served as the Board Chair of the Special Interest Groups. Prior to his promotion earlier this month, Davidson was the Head of the Global Corporate & Investment Bank and NYC Metro Region Real Estate Portfolio at JP Morgan Chase, encompassing 17 million s/f across 500 locations in 54 countries with a $2.0 billion annual operating plan. Before joining JP Morgan Chase in November 2010, Davidson was a Band 2 Senior Corporate Workplace Executive at Bank of America, responsible for the Global Banking, Markets, Commercial Banking and Global Wealth and Investment Management Real Estate Portfolio, encompassing 34 million s/f with a $1.7 billion operating plan. Davidson earned his Masters degree as a graduate of the TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program and his Bachelor of Arts degree at Fordham University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Davidson has also earned the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. CoreNet Global New York City Chapter's mission is to advance innovation and professional development for the corporate real estate sector, and to serve as a thought leader and forum for current industry issues. The organization's more than 800 members represent corporate end-users and service providers from New York's largest publicly held companies at the forefront of real estate planning, development and innovation, including Fortune 500 companies generating over $1 billion in annual revenue.
