CPEX is proud to announce the release of its 2012 Eight-Year Investment Sales Report, a comprehensive survey of commercial real estate sales by product type throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
Using rolling sales data from New York City's Department of Finance, CPEX summarized the total annual dollar volume, total number of sales, and average price per square foot from 2004 through 2011 for Vacant Land/Development Sites, Industrial, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, Office, and Retail property types. Careful attention was paid to eliminate those data sets that could improperly skew the data beyond the natural limits for those property types in order to present an accurate synopsis of the New York City commercial real estate market over the past eight years.
By analyzing market trends across each of the five boroughs, CPEX's annual Investment Sales Report can assist real estate and business owners with a current and up-to-date summation of the local marketplace.
"Our research team outdid themselves this year. Our new report breaks out citywide statistics for the price per buildable square foot of development sites," said Timothy King, Managing Partner of CPEX. "This enhancement to the report will make it a must-read resource for our colleagues in the commercial real estate industry."
