Canvas Worldwide inks lease for
18,149 s/f at 75 Varick St.

Manhattan, NY According to Hudson Square Properties (HSP), a joint venture of Trinity Church Wall Street, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Hines, full-service media communications agency Canvas Worldwide signed a seven-year lease for 18,149 s/f on the second floor of 75 Varick in Hudson Sq. The space will serve as the company’s New York City headquarters.

David Falk, Pete Shimkin, Jonathan Fanuzzi, Jon Franzel and Brittany Silver of Newmark led lease negotiations on behalf of Hudson Square Properties. Canvas was represented by Nick Farmakis of Savills.

Launched in 2015, Canvas is dual headquartered in Los Angeles and New York, with regional offices in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta. The decision to continue to establish its headquarters at 75 Varick reflects the company’s commitment to growth and innovation. The location will provide strategic proximity to transit both for employees and clients, allowing the company to connect seamlessly with partners and opportunities and reinforcing its position in the market.

75 Varick St., also known as One Hudson Sq., is close to the 1, A, C and E subway stations. At 17 stories, this building designed by Ely Jacques Kahn and completed in 1929 offers views of downtown, the Hudson River and along Canal St. The one million s/f building offers modern office spaces and large floor plates. A new building lobby designed by the architectural firm A+I is home to Drip Coffee and rotating art exhibitions. Notable tenants include Harry’s Razors and Oscar Health.
