Brady and Dean of Jack Resnick & Sons broker 10-year 27,000 s/f lease
Jack Resnick & Sons' development project at 250 Hudson St. has landed another office tenant from the midtown area.
Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bern-stein, LLP, one of the largest law firms in the U.S. representing only plaintiffs, has leased the building's entire 27,000 s/f, 8th floor for its new headquarters. It plans to relocate from 780 Third Ave. in October.
The deal follows two tenant signings recently at the property-a 127,000 s/f commitment from Daniel J. Edelman, Inc., the global public relations company, and a 40,000 s/f lease to ad agency, Lowe & Partners Worldwide, Inc., a subsidiary of marketing firm Interpublic.
250 Hudson St., is a 15-story, 360,000 s/f former printing trades building that the Resnick firm is transforming into a modern office tower through a $25 million capital improvement program.
Dennis Brady, executive managing director of leasing and Jonathan Dean, managing director, of Jack Resnick & Sons, brokered the 10-year law firm leasing transaction.
The renovation and upgrading underway at 250 Hudson, which boasts 27,000 s/f floor plans, includes an expanded lobby with marble walls and floors to access the new elevator bank with three additional new cabs and an extensive upgrade of the building's infrastructure, including the installation of a new 1,200 ton cooling tower and a 10,000 s/f landscaped roof deck available to tenants.
A full service real estate organization, Jack Resnick & Sons has been an industry leader in development, construction, ownership and management since its founding in 1928. Its portfolio currently includes six million s/f of commercial space, including its signature office tower at 110 East 59th St. It also has developed thousands of residences and continues to own, manage and lease 1,000 rental apartments.
