Schwartz of Adams & Co. reps. landlord in 10,000 s/f lease to HSS
Health Systems Solutions, Inc. is expanding its based operations. To accommodate the company's rapid growth, HSS has signed a 10-year, 10,000 s/f lease with Adams & Company Real Estate to occupy the entire sixth floor of 42 W. 39th St.
"Due to the increase in new business, we have now exceeded capacity at our current New York location on Fifth Ave. We were fortunate to be able to add an incremental 10,000 s/f within two blocks of our existing office in Midtown Manhattan, which will allow us to continue to bring on additional developers to meet our clients' needs," said Stan Vashovsky, chairman and CEO of HSS. "Expanding our footprint in N.Y.C. gives us a huge recruiting advantage since it is not only a great city to work in, it is also home to Silicon Alley's wealth of technology talent and a number of prestigious research universities and engineering programs."
Jeffrey Schwartz, senior managing director of Adams & Co., represented the landlord in the transaction while Dani O'Donnel of Kenneth Zund Realty represented the tenant. Details of the lease were undisclosed.
"HSS are a leader in their industry and we are excited to have them as a tenant," said Schwartz. "The company's decision to open offices at 42 W. 39th St. affirms that this building is a desirable location for companies looking to make a long-term impact on N.Y.C."
The 18-story, 138,788 s/f building is located close to Bryant Park and boasts 24-hour access. Notable tenants include Perry Ellis International, Bluefly.com and The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company. Retail tenants include the Tall Girl Shop, AEC Reprographics, and Cordette Drugs.
