Ball and Singer of Retail by MONA secure three leases at 2273-2279 Broadway totaling 13,600 s/f

Manhattan, NY Retail by MONA, hired to replace Cushman & Wakefield as agent for 2273-2279 Bdwy., has leased the entire property in totality in one year’s time. Spear, Grape Stomper Cannabis House, and an undisclosed major national financial institution, have secured long-term leases in the building totaling 13,600 s/f.

Matthew Ball, senior vice president of Retail by MONA, said, “We’re extremely proud to have been able to lease up this space in such a short period of time. We believe this lends to a change in the retail landscape of the Upper West Side which is currently facing numerous vacancies.”

“This is an exciting time for the Upper West Side,” said Retail by Mona’s founder & CEO, Brandon Singer. “We are excited to bring a diverse group of tenants to 2273 Broadway and lead the renaissance of retail on the Upper West Side.”

Retail by MONA’s Singer and Ball represented 2273 Broadway Equities Inc. and landlord, Adam Katz, while Spear was represented by Atlantic Retail’s Evan Clements and Amanda Keller and Grape Stomper Cannabis House was represented by RJB Real Estate’s Richard Bailey.

Spear is on a path to major expansion. The brand was co-founded in 1999 by grad school classmates, Dan Rootenberg and David Endres. After graduating from PT school and being out in the work force for a few years Rootenberg approached Endres about starting a practice together with the goal of creating a unique patient experience and that is how SPEAR was formed. The brand has since expanded to over 45 locations nationwide.
