I was most proud of launching the NJ Women's Network within JLL this past November. I felt a real need to create a community for the women of JLL's New Jersey offices where they can network, and focus on learning and development. Along with Terry Harris, a colleague, I started a local New Jersey chapter - JLL has a national network with several local chapters. Since November, we have established a full board of directors, hosted two philanthropic events, and have designed a series of learning and development programs as well as events to assist women further their careers within JLL. Helping women advance their careers is a passion of mine. I was blessed with great mentors and champions, and this is my opportunity to pay it forward. Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why? One of my first bosses had a strong influence on me. He told me I didn't have what it took to advance my career and to be happy in a support role. That was the moment I decided I could do anything I set my mind to. What is the best advice you have received and who was it from? "Even if you're uncertain about something, speak with confidence." - Advice from a former manager. What is your favorite quote? "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" - Maya Angelou. I try to live by that, both in my professional life as well as my personal life.
