What was the most challenging part of working during the pandemic?
When the pandemic hit, the initial hurdle was moving an entire staff to a remote/work from home setting. With all the moving parts that occur in a title insurance agency, that was not easy. Utilizing technology was a key factor in our success. Luckily, we were already forward thinking and had implemented many processes that eased the transition. Once we were set up and closing files again, the next hurdle was figuring out the logistics of closings as no two closings are handled the same in 2020.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2020?
No professional accomplishment in 2020 could be more important than having been able to shift our entire staff to remote and not miss a beat in getting reports processed and transactions closed. With the unexpectedly busy real estate market coinciding with the pandemic, all our procedures were put to the test. Knowing we had some of our busiest months since inception, while working from home, and dealing with issues we could never have imagined before was extremely gratifying. We were able to meet the demands that our clients expected and got their deals closed.
