Alexander joins the A.Y. Strauss law firm team

New York, NY Kim Alexander, Esq. has joined the growing team at A.Y. Strauss, LLC, a law firm specializing in commercial real estate transactions. Established in 2010, A.Y. Strauss has become an active firm in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region. Alexander has vast experience in commercial real estate law. Most recently, she served as associate counsel for more than 10 years at Manhattan-based RD Management LLC, which is among the nation’s largest privately-held real estate management and development companies. Previously, Alexander was an associate in the real estate group at the law firm of Kaye Scholer LLP in New York. “Kim possesses an insider’s perspective of the commercial real estate industry, having handled complex transactions at a top management and development company for over a decade,” said Aaron Strauss, Esq., who founded the firm and serves as managing partner. “She brings added depth to our skilled team, and we are excited to have her play an integral role in our firm’s continued expansion.” At RD Management, Alexander focused on representing ownership in a variety of transactions, including the construction and permanent financing of retail centers, hotels, and industrial buildings. She also handled the acquisition and sale of industrial and retail properties and the leasing of space to retail tenants. At Kaye Scholer, Alexander concentrated her practice on the representation of large financial institutions in connection with the financing of shopping centers, office buildings and hotels. She graduated magna cum laude with her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, and cum laudewith her B.A. in political science from Columbia College, Columbia University. Alexander is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. A.Y. Strauss focuses on transactions in the middle market for assets located in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area as well as across the U.S. The firm’s core practice areas are acquisitions and sales, real estate finance, leasing, and joint ventures. As of October 1, the firm had completed over 75 transactions in 2015, breaking its own annual record for completed deals. “A.Y.
