Admar acquires assets of Knickerbocker Equipment Company

As of November 1, ADMAR Construction Equipment and Supplies has acquired the assets of Knickerbocker Equipment Company, including the headquarters on West 17th St. That location, which has been home to the Knickerbocker Equipment Company until now, will serve as the Erie headquarters for ADMAR, the largest independently owned construction equipment rental and sales company in New York and Pennsylvania. ADMAR Erie employees, who for the past year have worked at the ADMAR located on West 12th St., will move into the new headquarters to work alongside many Knickerbocker employees who will be staying on with ADMAR. In total, the ADMAR location in Erie will have a team of more than a dozen employees. This expansion in the Erie marketplace is a reflection of ADMAR's growth as a company in Pennsylvania, where it has operated for the past two years. ADMAR serves the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton market with a location in that region, as well. "ADMAR has been a family owned and operated business for nearly 45 years," said Joel DiMarco, president of ADMAR. "From one family business to another, we are proud to carry on the long tradition of exceptional customer service that Knickerbocker is known for in the Erie region." ADMAR will offer the same products that were available from Knickerbocker. In addition, ADMAR will enhance that inventory with equipment from top-tier manufacturers, including aerial work platforms, rough-terrain forklifts, excavators, compressors, pumps, generators, concrete solutions, compaction equipment and more. ADMAR Erie will also offer service provided by manufacturer-trained technicians, along with an extensive parts department. Brad Perrine, ADMAR's Erie branch manager, also said that the company is working to create a smooth transition for Knickerbocker customers. "We are very excited to get to know our new customers and help them achieve their business goals," he said. "Our customers' success will always be our first priority." Both ADMAR and Knickerbocker customers should expect their orders to be filled going forward from the West 17th Street location. The phone number for ADMAR in Erie is now 814-833-7761. Customers of both companies can use this number to place orders or find more information on products and services. Knickerbocker customers will also receive a welcome letter from ADMAR that will help transition their accounts.
