A.P. Construction completes Brae Burn C.C. and Beach Point Club

A.P. Construction Company, the construction management and general contracting division of The Ashforth Company, has recently completed construction on the Brae Burn Country Club located in Purchase, and Beach Point Club in Mamaroneck. This marks the seventh and eighth club A.P. Construction has completed in the last three years. The Brae Burn Country Club project consists of renovating 28,000 s/f of the clubhouse building including the kitchen, grillroom, ball room and the men's and women's locker rooms. This is A.P. Construction's second project completed at Brae Burn. Other extensive renovations made to the exterior of the building include a new porte-cochere, a new roof, and a redesign of the exterior façade to incorporate shingles and new windows. The site work includes a new dining terrace and a redesigned entry drive to improve the arrival experience. The architect is James G. Rogers & Associates Architects. Mark Kammerer was the project manager and Mike Steadman was the superintendent for A.P. Construction Co. Work at the Beach Point Club included a new 3,000 s/f pool house for the pool equipment, bathrooms, staff room with lockers, first aid and lifeguard office. The project also included the removal and relocation of two existing pools to a new location. The new zero entry wading pool is 30' x 40'. The main pool is approximately 5,400 s/f and includes a ten foot deep diving area. The architect is Perkins Eastman Architects. Bob Frost of A.P. Construction Co. was the superintendent. "We are pleased to complete another renovation with Brae Burn Country Club and be selected to enhance numerous country clubs over the last three years in both the Fairfield and Westchester counties, particularly during this time of reduced construction activity," said Nicholas Everett, senior vice president of A.P. Construction Co.
