Q: Your most memorable "15 minutes of fame" in the NYREJ:
A: It was 1998 and I started to promote my former company by telling about my children...human interest...after 6 months my company was well known so I stopped running the ads. NYREJ called me and said that they wanted me to run the ads for free, "Why," I asked? People have been calling and asking why those stories stopped? For a year and a half NYREJ reported about my family life. The funny, loving and creative situations that touched my family. Today, my 3 children look back on the NYREJ ads and laugh at what they did. I had received many phone calls from NYREJ subscribers about the ads. The one that I remember best of all was a guy in Manhattan that said, "I just read your ad about spending more time with your kids and I am going home for a hug and to play with them. Thank you for reminding me what is truly important." Happy 25th Anniversary!
