Q: The approximate number of years you have been a subscriber and/or how the NYREJ has been a benefit to you and/or your business:
A: I have been an avid NYREJ reader and subscriber since its inception in 1989. The publication has meant a lot to me over the years, especially in terms of providing me with tremendous name recognition and the opportunity to communicate with the industry. In addition, NYREJ continues to keep me current with my colleagues' transactions, as well as new developments, project updates and a host of other important issues.
Q: The approximate year you discovered the NYREJ and what business you were in at the time:
A: When New York Real Estate Journal was launched in 1989, I was Vice Chairman of Garrick-Aug Worldwide, Ltd. I knew right away that this publication was going to make a huge contribution to the industry and wanted to be a part of it. After contacting one of the editors, I was asked to contribute an article about rising retail rents. It ran in June, 1989 .
Q: Your most memorable "15 minutes of fame" in the NYREJ:
A: There have been so many! But I would have to say that my most memorable "15 minutes of fame" moment was the day I was invited to write my own monthly column for the New York City Retail section.
