Bohler

What do you wish more women knew about the opportunities available in the construction industry today? That there is an abundance of opportunity from project management, coordination, design, and much more. It is not just field work/labor. People tend to hear “construction” and they automatically think hard hats and on-site manual work. There is so much more to the industry, and it is constantly growing and evolving.

What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it? AI. Artificial Intelligence will have a positive impact in the construction industry. I’m prepared to lean fully into it by adopting it and directing it into everyday use.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity? My family. I enjoy spending every free moment with them. I have two children who keep me grounded and constantly on my toes!

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry? Don’t feel hesitant to speak up and voice your opinion, it matters. Put your voice out there and make your mark. In this field it is not about fitting in, it’s about standing out and bringing to the table what the majority is not able to.
