2026 Ones to Watch - Industry Leaders: Scott Miller, Meridian Capital Group

Scott Miller
Vice President
Meridian Capital Group

“Scott comes into the office each day with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, never shying away from complex or demanding assignments. He has a unique ability to bring people together to get the job done efficiently and effectively, and has earned the respect of both colleagues and clients as a trusted advisor on complex development projects in New York and Florida.”

What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

I had the opportunity to originate the construction financing for 179 N. 10th St. in Williamsburg, currently the tallest mass timber project in New York City. This was particularly meaningful as it provided exposure to innovative, sustainable construction methods that enhance efficiency while reducing environmental impact, while also reinforcing our firm’s commitment to financing projects that deliver long-term value to both clients and the broader community.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

My father – he taught me to always take the high road, even when outcomes don’t go your way.

What advice would you share with emerging professionals striving to become future leaders in commercial real estate?

Be passionate about your work and intentionally surround yourself with individuals who inspire you and challenge you to grow. Early in my career, I was given a simple yet impactful piece of advice: “The key to success is showing up.” Consistency, reliability, and a strong work ethic often differentiate those who advance into leadership roles, and maintaining that mindset can create meaningful opportunities over time.
