Mojo Stumer Associates

“Mason Sofia is an associate and lead designer at Mojo Stumer Associates known for his detail-driven, modern design approach and strong collaborative leadership within the studio. He works closely on high-end commercial and corporate interiors projects, guiding work from concept through construction while helping translate design intent into thoughtful, buildable architecture.”

What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

One recent accomplishment I’m especially proud of is the groundbreaking of East Shore Road Multi-Family in Great Neck. We first began designing the project in 2020, and it’s especially rewarding to see that early vision now moving into construction. As it comes to life, it will bring a new residential option to Great Neck that balances waterfront living with neighborhood connectivity, contributing positively to the area’s continued growth and character.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

Working with Mark Stumer and Joe Yacobellis for seven years has shaped how I design and lead.

How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

I try to inspire and mentor others by leading by example and staying closely engaged with our clients and team members throughout the design process from concept through execution. We have a talented group of designers and project managers who collaborate constantly and support one another in translating a client’s vision from a 3D model into a fully realized built environment. I also think it’s important to connect with team members on a personal level, especially younger designers, so they can grow with confidence and understand the “why” behind design decisions.
