What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why?

The most rewarding project I’ve been part of is Largo’s BOSS program, a 25-week mentorship for middle schoolers. Each week, they join us at the office to build confidence, communication, and leadership skills. Watching our first group from five years ago grow, mature, navigate high school, and now head to college has been incredibly fulfilling. It’s a reminder that real impact goes far beyond deals.

What skill or quality do you believe is essential for success in your field today?

Strong communication is essential. Mortgage bankers/brokers must help borrowers understand their financing options clearly and present deals to lenders in a way that highlights strengths and addresses concerns. Many hotel owners rely on their mortgage banker/broker for guidance, so communication must be clear, consistent, and honest. Setting expectations, explaining terms, and keeping all parties informed is what builds trust and drives successful outcomes.
