Attention to detail is essential, as it ensures accuracy and timeliness in every deal. Strong communication skills are also key for coordinating parties and clearly summarizing legal issues. Additionally, experience in title and survey review is crucial for spotting encumbrances, easements, or zoning concerns that could impact a transaction.
What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate?
Define what success means to you — income, lifestyle, or purpose — to guide your choices. Seek a mentor, ask questions, and learn from top performers how they manage clients, deals, and time. Build a thick skin and set respectful boundaries, especially with challenging clients or peers, to navigate the industry confidently.
