What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why?

Representing the environmental response trust created in a high-profile bankruptcy to acquire, remediate and sell various brownfields sites across 14 states to achieve optimal job creation & generate economic opportunity in the communities hurt by the bankruptcy. The trust was the largest holders of industrial property in the U.S. I not only led countless complex CRE transactions, but developed various business solutions, enabling the trust to advance its mission. Acutely aware of the severity of local community impact & extensive job losses, my reward was contributing to improving conditions.

What advice would you give to a woman considering a career in commercial real estate?

> Be an active and open-minded listener > Think critically & ask questions > Take informed risks > Treat everyone with respect > Trust your gut.
