Recent goal and impact:

For the last few years, we have been working diligently on improving our website and project design quality, with the intent of obtaining interest from prospective clients. Over this timeframe, little or no results were yielded by this effort. In December 2024, we made another significant push to highlight the latest and most appealing projects. In January 2025 we were contacted by a client who invited us to propose on a significant project with very high design aspirations. We are now shortlisted for this bid and meeting with the building committee for a final interview.

Turning problems into opportunities:

A client had directed us to use precast concrete as a facade material, the problem of which was that is a very generic and unappealing material for an entire facade. This led us to research some options and after we proposed the use of embedded limestone and granite onto the panels, which they accepted. This enabled us to implement facade materials that are normally handset onsite and expensive, as prefabricated elements that were much less costly and in a much more time efficient manner.

Best books, podcasts, or apps for aspiring leaders: The Pearl, John Steinbeck.

Sharing knowledge and expertise: With a very collaborative approach, both in our office and interactively with clients, we have created an environment very conducive to communication and the open exchange of ideas and information. Additionally, we have added an informational blog to our website.

Best advice for new leaders: Winners never quit & quitters never win.
