2025 Ones To Watch - Industry Leaders: Adelaide Polsinelli, Compass

Adelaide Polsinelli
Vice Chairman
Compass

Recent goal and impact:

One of my most significant achievements was relentlessly pursuing the sale of a property that had cycled through four different owners during foreclosure, eventually landing in a bankruptcy auction with a liquidation auctioneer. Other brokers walked away. But I tenaciously guided my buyer through every obstacle — navigating complex legal and financial hurdles, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the deal stayed on track. Against all odds, I ultimately closed the transaction. A challenging property sale turned into a major opportunity for my firm.

Sharing knowledge and expertise:

I actively share my expertise through mentorship, collaboration, and industry engagement. Within my firm, I guide colleagues on complex deals, market trends, and negotiation strategies. I also help residential brokers navigate commercial real estate opportunities. Beyond my firm, I contribute to industry panels, professional groups like WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate and The Real Estate Board of New York, and advocate for community initiatives.
