2025 Ones To Watch - Industry Leaders: Sam Fields, Jafri Capital

Joint Venture Partner

Sharing knowledge and expertise:

My philosophy is that if you put in the work, you have a voice in the project — regardless of whether you’re in a junior or senior position. This approach fosters a team environment where everyone feels involved and valued. While senior members ultimately make executive decisions based on their experience, knowledge should be shared at all levels of the organization. I’ve found that being mentally adaptable and a great listener has changed the way my team and I operate. The opinion of my team is often better than my own, and embracing this mindset has led to stronger collaboration.

Best books, podcasts, or apps for aspiring leaders:

Books: The Gap and The Gain & Never Split The Difference.

Best advice for new leaders:

Surround yourself with experts, and be decisive.

Recent goal and impact:

Over the past year, my entity, Debt & Equity LLC, formed a strategic partnership with Jafri Capital to help fund their deal flow and build a powerhouse in private equity and the public/private energy sectors. In just six months, by combining networks, we’ve created deal flow and introduced capital on the institutional, domestic and international level. With an already established “A-Team” in CRE & Energy at Jafri Capital, we can now pursue our projects with greater strength and reap the benefits of the opportunities ahead.
