2024 Women in CRE: Carolina Aziz, Kassin Sabbagh Realty

Carolina Aziz
Director
Kassin Sabbagh Realty

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of?

Most exciting was the retail expansion for Anita Gelato, we identified a Times Square & Madison Square Garden outpost for them and completed the deal with Vornado Realty Trust. We additionally leased two spaces in the Penn Station train hall.

What are the most important factors young women should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with?

I was blessed to work at Kassin Sabbagh Realty for almost 15 years. What I appreciated most about my career at KSR was the support I received from the principles of the company. Brokerage is often a competitive industry with tons of obstacles so when you know the company you are working with is supportive and is willing to give you the tools necessary to succeed it makes the process much more enjoyable and seamless.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you?

I am inspired all the time by my clients and colleagues. The qualities I most respect and appreciate is transparency when working with other brokers & landlords and when working with tenants it is their commitment, discipline and creativity. I am blessed to work with several tenants that are looking to disrupt industries and provide New Yorkers with solutions and efficiency.

Which professional organization(s) would you recommend to women just starting out in your industry:

There are a handful, I always enjoyed the Girl Gang events. I also think building your own network and fostering relationships with other women in the industry whether they are brokers or work in-house for landlords or tenants is always important.
