2023 Year in Review: Donal McIntyre, Wesbuilt Construction Managers

Donal McIntyre
President
Wesbuilt Construction Managers

What person, project, transaction, or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? We have continued to develop our VDC/BIM process named COLLAB by Wesbuilt. It now incorporates a new feature, the Facilities Asset Model (FAM), a fully immersive digital twin of completed projects with all submittals digitally embedded and linked to each element within the 3D scan of completed spaces. This allows facility managers to easily access all material, system and location data, such as warranty details, without searching through hard copy records.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2023? Wesbuilt has completed 450 Washington St., a 170-unit, 200,000 s/f condo. redevelopment in Tribeca for The Related Cos. The property offers a 12th floor roof deck with Hudson River views and other tenant amenities. Wesbuilt has employed its VDC/BIM process to accelerate the delivery of this complex project.
