2023 Women in Construction: Siobhan McNamara, LPS Direct

Siobhan McNamara
Chief Operating Officer
LPS Direct

In the past year, what project or accomplishment are you most proud of? LPS recently completed a mid-sized but substantial construction project for Safelite, a glass repair chain company with more than 7,100 locations across the country? This project marked the first time LPS headed up a construction project of this kind, which included the development of shop space, office space and customer waiting area. My involvement included helping to head up all LPS operations of the project which entailed overseeing and supervising over six different trades within LPS subdivisions. It was a project that was very rewarding for me personally as I was able to oversee and work with many staffers.

What is your favorite building in New York? My favorite building is Freedom Tower. The daughter of a retired NYPD detective, I am profoundly proud of the role my father played in the immediate rescue efforts and ongoing cleanup of the 9/11 disaster. Visiting this building reminds me of the sacrifice made by the many men and women who played such a significant role as first responders, including the thousands who lost their lives. The Freedom Tower represents the strength of New York and New Yorkers, and how one building can unite many people, including helping the story of 9/11 live on for generations to come.
