In the past year, what project or accomplishment are you most proud of? I have been approved for every sign variance presentation in front of planning & zoning boards. Which professional associations or organizations would you recommend to women who are starting out in the AEC industry? I highly recommend NAWIC. It is a nationwide organization for women in construction. All the women involved are so supportive of one another and are quick to help when needed.
How can AEC companies recruit more women? Speak to young girls about the opportunities AEC companies can provide. Set up speaking engagements with Girl Scouts of America or high schools before a career path is set.
What is your favorite building in New York? Trinity Church in NYC. Beautiful gothic look and is extremely strong and sturdy.
