2023 Commercial Real Estate Visionaries: Rafi Haikal of Urbahn Architects

Despite being a young architectural professional, Rafi has skillfully leveraged his understanding of the local culture to develop significant business opportunities for Urbahn Architects in Indonesia. He successfully aligned Urbahn’s expertise in the planning and design of sophisticated public facilities, healthcare projects and hospitality developments with the rapid government-driven urban development taking place in the region.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? 
I am very proud of effectuating Urbahn joining design teams for two projects at Sanur KEK in Bali, a 106-acre beachfront health and wellness tourism complex. These include accessibility consulting for restoration of the Grand Inna Bali Beach Hotel and the design of 70 villas for convalescing patients and their families.
