What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year?
Increased interest rates have led many of my clients to rethink their business models and diversify into new areas. For example, a lender client has branched into buying loans to foreclose on them. As a result, I’m focusing more on providing clients with consulting and litigation services this year.
What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022?
In a notable case this year, I received a favorable judgment and rent owed to my landlord client. The tenant had evaded paying the rent and then merged with another company, arguing the merger barred recovery of the rent. The Court sided with us and awarded a favorable decision.
