Carol Rizzo
Partner
Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP

In the last 12 months, what was your TOP career highlight? I obtained millions of dollars in real property tax refunds/savings for a wide variety of commercial and residential taxpayers in NY. Recently, my firm of 27 years, Koeppel Martone & Leistman, L.L.C., merged with prominent Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP creating a powerhouse of experience and service in the field of Tax Certiorari.

In the last 12 months how have you helped your industry grow through professional creativity, innovation and leadership? I continue to foster connections with finance professionals, CPAs, property managers and real estate professionals who appreciate the need to keep expenses down for their clientele, especially with rising inflation and the uncertainty of the markets.

What advice would you give the next generation of women in your industry? I take great pride in helping people lower the costs of owning/renting real estate by reducing their property tax burden. I also take great pride in raising my family. Seek to maintain a sensible work/family balance so that you can successfully manage your life for the wellbeing of all.
